Ms. Nusrat Zehra Zaidi (Chairperson)

Ms. Nusrat holds masters degree in mass communication. She is communications specialist, and has worked with different organizations.  She is involved many productive activities like theater, seminars, media campaigns and writing articles. Her interests include girls education, and governance. She has worked for many mainstream media organizations including PTV, ARY and different radio channels from 2000 to 2010. She has recently done a thesis on “55 years of Judiciary” in relevance with democratic governance. Currently she is working with Democracy Reporting International.

Mr. Saleem Malik

Saleem Malik has more than 23 years of experience in the management of relief and development programs across Pakistan. On completing his Masters in Statistics in 1987, he started his career as a social researcher with International Irrigation Management Institute, Pakistan In 1995, he left for UK to pursue his M.Sc. in Development and Project Planning from the University of Bradford, England. Later, he served Pattan, Action Aid Pakistan, Family Planning Association of Pakistan, Plan Pakistan, and GD Pakistan. He served Bedari for about 8 years as Executive Director. Currently, he is a member of Board of Directors.

Dr. Arshad Waheed

Arshad Waheed has done MSc in Social Policy, and Planning. He has vast experience of working in social development sector. He has worked in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. His expertise include social policy and planning, education, civil society organizations, and social movement. He has worked on social policy and strategic planning issues with multilateral and bilateral development institutions like World Bank, Asian Development Bank, UNDP, UNICEF, USAID, DFID, SDC, GTZ and many other international NGOs like Oxfam, Action Aid, and Plan International.

Ms. Humera Hussain

Ms Humera has done masters in English literature, and has been providing her services as a consultant to many national and international organizations of repute.  She is active in fund raising for social causes. Her special interest include girls education, and Governance.  She holds a multi disciplinary career, and has worked with various national, international charities and UN agencies in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Project Design and management, monitoring and evaluation, managing organizational communication and organizational assessment to develop strategic partnership are her key professional skills.

Ms. Fizza Hassan

Qualification: Masters in the Teaching of French as a Foreign Language

Ms. Fizza Hassan holds masters degree in teaching French as foreign language.  By profession, she is a teacher of English literature, and French language and literature.  She is very active in theater and arts related activities. She is a good writer as well. She is also providing her services for Girls Education and Volunteer Coordination Programs. Currently, she is principal of a modern school situated in the suburbs of Islamabad.

Ms. Asma Amir

Asma Amir has done graduation in arts and education. She is has vast experience of teaching children with disabilities. She is currently principal of IRADAH School for Hearing Impaired Children. She represents women with disabilities at the Bedari’s Board of Directors.

Ms. Ghulam Fatima

Ms. Ghulam Fatima has vast experience of working with the rural women. She has served as lady  health worker at Department of Health, District Chakwal for nearly 15 years.  She is also working as volunteer community mobilizer for IRADAH for past 13 years. She is a member of “Musalihati Anjuman Khwateen”. She is a hard working and committed person. She represents rural women at Bedari’s Board of Directors.
