Bedari Theater Team

Bedari theater team consists of volunteers from other organizations especially from the universities and colleges of the twin cities – Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Bedari has a large number of volunteers available. On many occasions, Bedari theater team has managed to do theater performance at a very short notice of three days.

The feedback received from the participants was unanimously positive. Most of the participants were of the view that the time was short and it was suggested by the participants that the time for the training should be increased by at least two days. It has been suggested that the participants should be able to give a short performance at the end of the training.
Team leaders

Bedari’s Theater Team is led by Mr. Safeer Ullah Khan who has done masters in English literature. He was an active member of Dramatic Club of his college and won first prize for best actor in Annual Drama Festival of his college in year 2000. Later he joined Punjab Lok Rahs – a Lahore-based street theater group. He has given theater training to many community-based theater groups in Lahore, Okara, Rawalpindi and Islamabad. He worked as consultant on theater related matters with Plan Pakistan, SACHET and Voice against Torture. He has been working with Bedari for over a year as Advocacy & Communications Manager.

Anbreen Ajaib has done masters in Psychology from Qauid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. She joined Bedari as a volunteer activist since her days in the University. She has performed in innumerable plays, and participated in many training workshops. Now she gives theater trainings and supports in facilitation and script writing. She has directed quite a few plays as well.
