It was an eight-month (June, 2021 to January, 2022) project which aimed at Promoting Women’s Political Participation and Leadership through facilitating their Voter Registration and CNIC registration in Sindh province funded by International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES).
The project goal was to empower women through acquiring basic documents, CNICS and register themselves in electoral roll as voter leading to their empowerment to assert their agency to influence socio-political and democratic system.
To practically implement it, we dispensed the support of social mobilizers and coordination with stakeholders such as local influential, community-based organizations (CBOs), political leaders, representatives of political parties, religious representatives, and state departments such as Election commission of Pakistan (ECP), National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).
