Irum Fatima is a highly skilled and experienced development professional with over 20 years of experience in the development sector. Currently serving as a Provincial Coordinator at Bedari, she is responsible for implementing projects focused on advocating for women, transgender individuals, people with disabilities, and child rights. Her work includes managing projects on child protection, gender-based violence, child marriage, post-primary education, women’s empowerment, and youth livelihood. Irum has actively engaged with legislators and policymakers to draft pro-women laws. She has also worked to establish support networks, committees, and forums to address child marriage and increase access to education and economic opportunities for women and girls. Additionally, Irum serves as a trainer in the US Embassy and the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs Program, promoting economic opportunities for women. She is also a focal person for the Victim Support Center and Gender Crime Unit.
